If my memory serves me correct, at one time the Feel wedges were the fasted growing wedges on all of the tours. It was around that time that I ordered my first wedge from Feel.
The first thing you will notice about the Feel wedges is that they feel good. I don't think they are the best feeling, but that may just be me. The Feel wedges also have a distinctive look over the top. They are kind of old school looking over the top. At any rate, the wedges by Feel are not great wedges because of their aesthetics. They are great because of their performance.
Feel says that their wedges are the best all around wedge made. They are the best out of the sand, the best out of the rough, and the best from the fairway. What is impressive about that claim is that the Feel wedges do not have a ton of bounce. Normally a requirement out of the sand and rough.
I will testify that the wedges from Feel do work well out of the sand and the rough. The Feel wedges out of the sand are really really good. The only wedge that does as good or better is the Solus. They are good out of the rough. Nothing special there, just about average.
Around the green the Feel wedges are un-stoppable. The 60 degree is by far the easiest wedge for flop shots that I have found. The Feel wedges seem like they were made to open up the face and hit them high. The spin is always predictable and with a little practice you can dial in your chips and pitches using trajectory instead of spin.
I love the Feel wedges except for one thing. On full shots they do not perform as well as I would like. They are dead on accurate, however, the go really high and come up a little shorter than I would want. I am going to try some different shafts in my Feel wedges and I will revise this review.
Conclusion:
I think that the Feel wedges are great. LIke I said before, the Feel wedges are tough to beat for green side performance. I think that anyone shopping for new wedges should give Feel a serious look. I feel that hitters may not like the Feel wedges as much as other brands, but swingers will love them. Regardless I suggest ad least trying the Feel wedges. You never know, they may be the wedges that cut your handicap.
